z-HOPE™ Project

Our 2025 State Z-HOPE Project is dedicated to addressing pressing social, health, and economic justice issues, including supporting women impacted by domestic violence. Through this initiative, we partner with Women In Distress, a vital organization that provides emergency shelter, counseling, and comprehensive support services, prioritizing the safety and empowerment of survivors as they rebuild their lives.

Financial independence is critical for survivors to achieve lasting freedom from abuse. While living in the transitional housing community, survivors will work toward self-sufficiency by participating in structured plans that include paying rent with a gradually decreasing subsidy, as well as managing everyday responsibilities like cooking and laundry—important steps toward living autonomously.

In addition to housing, WID will offer a wide range of supportive services, both in-person and virtually. These include job training, resume building, credit and financial education, therapeutic support, and other domestic violence recovery services. The transitional housing complex will also feature amenities such as a playground for children, laundry facilities, workspaces for remote professionals, and offices for support staff, creating a holistic and empowering environment for survivors as they rebuild their lives.
